The recent conversation between Varun Dhawan and his father, David Dhawan, has sparked a heated debate on social media. Varun stated that the success of the film Dhurandhar was more of a director's victory than an actor's, which didn't sit well with a section of the internet.

During the conversation, David Dhawan mentioned that it's difficult for filmmakers to make films freely today, and Varun responded by saying that Dhurandhar was a director's win due to Aditya Dhar's exceptional work. However, this remark was met with criticism from Ranveer Singh fans, who accused Varun of being jealous of the actor's success in Dhurandhar.

The film, which is a two-part action thriller, collected over ₹1300 crore worldwide in the first part and emerged as an even bigger success in the second part, earning more than ₹1800 crore globally and becoming the second-highest-grossing Indian film ever.

Varun Dhawan is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, directed by David Dhawan and starring Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde in lead roles.
