Veteran actor Ramakant Daayama, who has been a part of numerous Hindi films and television shows, has passed away on May 26. His co-star and friend, Shubhangi Latkar, confirmed the news on Instagram, sharing an emotional note about their time together.

Daayama was known for his pivotal supporting roles in Bollywood films like Chak De India, Ram Setu, Crew, Mumbai Saga, Brothers, Paa, and Drive. He also appeared in acclaimed shows such as Made in Heaven, Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story, and Farzi.

Shubhangi Latkar shared a video of Daayama in a jovial mood, playacting with friends, and wrote a heartfelt caption to remember him. She described him as 'full of life, warmth, and energy' and praised his ability to enjoy life despite challenges.

The official X account of Cine & TV Artistes' Association also mourned the loss of the actor, extending their condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and admirers.

Daayama is survived by his daughter, Yashaswini Dayama, who is also an actor. She has appeared in films like Dear Zindagi and Phobia.
