Vijay's much-awaited film Jana Nayagan has been delayed, leaving fans and fellow actors disappointed. The film was initially set to clash with Parasakthi on Pongal day, but its release has been put on hold due to unforeseen circumstances. Jana Nayagan's director H Vinoth and cast, including Prakash Raj and Pooja Hegde, were gearing up for the release on January 9, 2026. However, the film's makers announced a postponement, citing 'unforeseen circumstances.' Meanwhile, Parasakthi star Ravi Mohan has expressed his support for Vijay, saying he is 'heartbroken' about the delay. In a heartfelt message on X, Ravi Mohan wrote, 'As a brother, I stand with you, Vijay Anna. You don't need a date; you are the opening. Whenever that date is, Pongal will start then.' Ravi Mohan's film Parasakthi is all set to release on January 10, 2026, and will compete with other films in the Pongal season. Jana Nayagan is Vijay's final film before he focuses on his political career with the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam party. The film is a politically charged story centered around Tamil Nadu's resistance to Hindi imposition. Meanwhile, Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara, promises a gripping tale of resistance in a different context. With Sivakarthikeyan and Atharvaa in the lead roles, Parasakthi is expected to captivate audiences on the big screen.
