At the extravagant audio launch of his upcoming film 'Jana Nayagan' in Malaysia, actor and politician Vijay announced his decision to leave the cinema industry. The event, attended by nearly 1 lakh fans, entered the Malaysian Book of Records for the largest audience at an audio launch. Vijay expressed his gratitude to his fans, stating that he had initially thought he was building a small sandcastle, but they had instead constructed a grand palace for him. He credited his fans with building a 'fort' for him, and in return, he has decided to stand up for them and enter politics. The audio launch, billed as 'Thalapathy Thiruvizha', featured live performances, emotional speeches, and tightened security. Industry veterans, including actor Nasser and music director Anirudh Ravichander, paid tributes to Vijay, thanking him for his contributions to the industry. Vijay's film 'Jana Nayagan', starring Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol, is set to release worldwide on January 9, 2026, for Pongal. The audio launch event will be telecast on Zee Tamil on January 4, 2026.
