In a bold move that defied Malaysia's 'no politics' directive, Tamil superstar Vijay used the Jana Nayagan audio launch to hint at his future in politics. The event, dubbed Thalapathy Thiruvizha, drew over a lakh fans to the Bukit Jalil Stadium in Kuala Lumpur and entered the Malaysian Book of Records for the largest audience at an audio launch. Malaysia is home to the second-largest Tamil diaspora in the world. Vijay, who is set to retire from cinema after Jana Nayagan, thanked his fans for their unwavering support. He likened their dedication to building a 'fort' or 'kottai,' symbolizing a bastion of strength and power. In a veiled reference to his upcoming political career, Vijay said, "If you want to succeed in life, you may not need friends, but you need a strong enemy. Only when there's a strong enemy, you become stronger." He added, "So, in 2026, history will repeat. Let us be ready to welcome it for the people.
