After finally watching the film, he praised the team behind the movie, drawing comparisons to Ranbir Kapoor's Animal. Oberoi described Dhurandhar as a 'jarring shock' that lingers with viewers long after the credits roll. He added that the film's portrayal of unsung heroes is a 'luxury' for those who have never faced the truth. Oberoi also commended Aditya Dhar for his direction, comparing it to Animal's cinematic brilliance.
