Courtney Williams, a 40-year-old US army veteran, was arrested by the FBI for allegedly leaking Delta Force secrets to journalist Seth Harp. The DOJ indicted Williams for 'alleged transmission of classified national defense information to individuals not authorized to receive it.'

Williams exchanged over 180 text messages with Harp between 2022 and 2025, discussing classified information. In one message, Williams expressed concern about the amount of classified information being disclosed, while in another, she said she might get arrested for disclosing classified information.

Williams, a former Special Military Unit member, held Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance and signed a Classified Nondisclosure Agreement. She worked as an Army interrogator and later became an activist and educator.

The DOJ noted that Williams made unauthorized disclosures of national defense information via her social media accounts and that some of the statements attributed to her by Harp contained 'classified national defense information.'
