The Bermuda Triangle, infamous for its tales of missing ships and vanished aircraft, may finally have a scientific explanation. Scientist Nick Hutchings suggests that magnetic rock formations beneath the sea floor could be responsible for some of the strange incidents reported in the region.
Bermuda's volcanic origins, dating back 30 million years, have left behind a legacy of magnetic rock samples containing magnetite. Hutchings demonstrated how these rocks can disrupt navigation instruments, potentially posing challenges for ancient mariners.
While the theory offers a geological explanation for some of the unusual reports, it is not considered a definitive solution to every disappearance linked to the Bermuda Triangle. Nevertheless, it provides a fresh scientific angle on the mystery.
