Betty Broderick, the California woman convicted of killing her ex-husband and his new wife, has died at 78 after a series of serious health complications.
According to her son Daniel, she had been battling multiple septic infections and suffered a severe fall while incarcerated, which left her with broken ribs.
She was later moved to a hospital and admitted to the ICU, where she spent her final days on life support.
Betty was unable to communicate before her death and passed away surrounded by her three siblings.
The infamous double murderer was convicted in 1989 for the killings of her ex-husband Dan Broderick and his second wife Linda Kolkena Broderick.
She received two consecutive terms of 15 years to life for second-degree murder and was denied parole twice before her death.
