Blue Origin's New Glenn rocket exploded during a hotfire test at Cape Canaveral, Florida, on Thursday. The massive 320-foot rocket was expected to deploy 48 Amazon Leo broadband satellites into low-Earth orbit.

NASA administrator said they are aware of the anomaly and will conduct a probe to assess near-term impacts.

Blue Origin confirmed the incident, saying all personnel have been accounted for. The company's founder, Jeff Bezos, said it's too early to know the root cause but they're working to find it.

The explosion may hamper Blue Origin's capacity to launch additional rockets and its involvement in NASA's Artemis lunar missions.

Elon Musk responded to the disaster, saying 'Rockets are hard.'
