A fire training exercise at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) on Wednesday sparked panic among locals about a possible fire at the airport.
However, the airport had issued a prior update stating that a fire training exercise would be conducted, with visible smoke and fire expected.
Videos of the fire were shared on social media by local residents and visitors at the BWI airport.
