A man named Clay Crouch, who has a history of burglary and kidnapping charges, has come under scrutiny in connection to the Nancy Guthrie case.

Investigative reporter JLR claims that Crouch's lawyer, Mark Resnick, is friends with Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos on Facebook, as well as a man named Walter Nash.

A video previously surfaced showing a man claiming that 'someone named Walter Nash is involved or knows who's involved.'

Crouch, who lives across the street from Nancy Guthrie, has an extensive criminal history and was released from incarceration in September 2025.

Anonymous tips have suggested that Crouch may be 'Porch Guy,' with motive and opportunity to commit the crime.

Authorities have cleared Nancy's family of any suspicion in the search for the missing 84-year-old woman.
