Cuba has criticized the United States for lacking conviction in talks aimed at easing tensions between the two nations.
The criticism comes after the unsealing of criminal charges against former Cuban president Raul Castro by a Florida court, which Cuba fears could be used as a pretext for a US-backed coup.
Cuba's deputy foreign minister Josefina Vidal told a parliamentary hearing that the US government's actions cast doubt on its seriousness in approaching the dialogue process.
The US has maintained that it prefers a diplomatic solution, but has also warned that other options are available.
A CIA director recently held a meeting with senior Cuban officials in Havana, and the US has offered Cuba $100 million in aid in exchange for reforms.
