Europe has maybe six weeks of jet fuel left, according to the International Energy Agency head, Fatih Birol, who warned of the largest energy crisis ever faced.

Birol stated that flight cancellations could follow soon if oil supplies remain blocked amid the war between the United States and Iran.

He highlighted the repercussions on global energy supply and prices, due to the squeeze in oil, gas, and other vital supplies transiting through the Strait of Hormuz.

The IEA chief warned that the economic implications of the conflict would be worse if it continues, with the economic pain not being evenly distributed.

Developing countries, including those in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, will suffer the most, Birol said, adding that no country is immune to this crisis.
