Harris County Judge Nathan Milliron is facing intense scrutiny after a viral courtroom video and newly surfaced emails revealed his heated exchanges with court staff and attorneys.

Milliron, who serves as a judge in the 215th Civil Court, has been on the bench since January 2025 and oversees civil cases in one of Texas' busiest judicial systems.

The controversy began after a courtroom livestream clip showed Milliron snapping at an IT worker who was assisting with a technical issue, telling the employee to 'get out of my courtroom'.

Additional emails obtained by local media revealed Milliron using forceful language with court staff, including writing 'THAT IS AN ORDER!' and referring to an employee as a 'subordinate.'

The situation escalated further when defense attorney James Stafford emailed Milliron urging him to apologise for his behaviour, but instead, Milliron ordered the attorney to appear in court to address his 'opinions.'

Milliron is also facing civil penalties totalling $1,500 for failing to comply with state ethics laws, including campaign finance and personal financial disclosures.
