A small plane has reportedly crashed into the Hudson River near Newburgh-Beacon Bridge in New York, with two people on board.
The Cessna 172, registration number N1560E, is registered to American Airman Inc, a flight school based on Long Island.
The plane departed from Long Island MacArthur Airport and had its last recorded position in the Hudson River between Newburgh and Beacon, roughly 60 miles north of New York City.
A search and rescue operation has been launched, with units on the scene searching for the plane and the cause of the crash remains unknown.
