The husband of a 55-year-old American woman missing at sea in the Bahamas has been arrested and accused of abusing her. Lynette Hooker reportedly fell overboard during an evening dinghy ride, but her daughter, Karli Aylesworth, believes there's more to the story.

Karli told Fox News that her stepfather, Brian Hooker, had a history of choking her mother and threatening to throw her overboard. She called for a full investigation, including with the help of the US government.

Brian denied the abuse allegations, citing an ongoing investigation. However, Karli questioned the circumstances surrounding the case, including why her mother had the key to the boat's engine and why she was swimming away from the boat.
