Evan Cogdill has been charged in the fatal shooting of a man in the parking lot at Dolly Parton’s Stampede, a popular dinner attraction located in Pigeon Forge.

A man has been charged in the fatal shooting of another man in the parking lot at Dolly Parton’s Stampede in Tennessee.

Evan Cogdill, 24, from Illinois, was booked on Sunday after allegedly shooting 22-year-old Jacob Inselmann, who was from Steeleville, Illinois.

The incident occurred around 7:35 pm after Cogdill’s firearm discharged while he and Inselmann were in a car together outside the venue.

Cogdill contacted cops after the incident, and an investigation is still underway.

Dolly Parton’s Stampede is a popular dinner attraction that operates locations in Pigeon Forge and Branson, Missouri.
