A string of shootings broke out across Muscatine, Iowa on Monday, leaving seven people dead, including the shooter. The perpetrator was identified as Ryan Willis McFarland, a 52-year-old man, by the police department.

McFarland had left the residence at 210 Park Avenue prior to authorities arriving, where he had left the first four victims. He was subsequently located on the Riverfront Trail near the pedestrian bridge, where he had a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
