The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has seen a surge of misinformation, with unverified claims and clips circulating on social media. One such claim concerns Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel's National Security Minister, and Iddo Netanyahu, the brother of Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu.

Many social media accounts claim that an Iranian air strike in Tel Aviv led to the death of Iddo Netanyahu and injured Itamar Ben Gvir after his house purportedly caught fire. However, these claims are false, with no reports or official confirmation of an attack on Ben Gvir's residence or Iddo Netanyahu.

The claims that they were hit are a hoax, Ht.com can confirm. Some posts suggest that Israeli media is reporting a car accident to hide the purported injury from an Iranian air strike, but there are no reports to that effect.

Itamar Ben-Gvir was involved in a car accident in April 2024 in Ramle, Israel, but not recently. He suffered minor injuries in the incident.

The recent wave of air strikes by Iran on Israel occurred between February 28 and March 4, with over 90 attempted strikes recorded by ACLED. At least 10 deaths have been reported, and 20 civilian areas have been hit.
