Sri Lanka handed over the bodies of 45 Iranian sailors killed in a US submarine attack to Iran's embassy on Friday.
The sailors were killed when the US submarine sank the Iranian frigate IRIS Dena off the island nation's coast.
The ship was returning to Iran from Visakhapatnam, India, where it had participated in a naval fleet review exercise.
The 45 bodies were repatriated to Iran from the southern international airport at Mattala.
