Videos showed a massive police presence at the Short Pump Town Center in Richmond, Virginia, sparking fears of a shooting.
According to reports, a large group of patrons were actively fighting, prompting the police to intervene and regain order to the mall.
The mall was closed early, and shoppers were asked to go home after the incident.
It's reported that around 75 to 100 juveniles were involved in the fight, which began inside the mall and spread to other parts of the Short Pump property.
Police helped with traffic and crowd control, and no shots were fired during the incident.
