Microsoft's Outlook email application experienced a significant outage on Monday, affecting thousands of users in the US and UK.

According to Downdetector, the disruption began around 10 AM, with over 800 users in the UK and 400 elsewhere facing issues accessing their email services.

Users reported difficulties logging in, which accounted for 64% of the reported issues, as well as problems receiving messages.

Microsoft has confirmed the outage on its Service Health page, stating that they are investigating the issue and analyzing service telemetry to identify potential next steps.

The company suspects that client sign-in scenarios may be contributing to the problem and is examining interactions across service components to identify the cause.

Microsoft technicians are actively investigating the server failures and will provide ongoing updates as their investigation continues.

The company advises users that local solutions may be ineffective until the server-side problems are resolved.
