National Hockey League (NHL) reporter Jessi Pierce has been identified as one of the deceased in the house fire at White Bear Lake in Minnesota on Saturday.
Pierce, along with her three children and a dog, died in the blaze that broke out on Saturday morning.
The Minnesota Wild confirmed Pierce's death and described her as 'a kind, compassionate person that cared deeply about her family and those around her.'
The NHL also released a statement, saying 'The entire National Hockey League family sends our prayers and deepest condolences to the Pierce family on the passing of Jessi Pierce and her three young children.'
Local media reports indicate that multiple fire crews responded to the incident, and the fire was 'fully involved' with the victims inside when they arrived.
The cause of the fire is currently unclear.
