A retired law enforcement officer has proposed a new theory in the Nancy Guthrie case, suggesting that the alleged kidnapper(s) may have had motives beyond financial gain.
Former police officer Charles Brewer expressed his skepticism regarding money being the primary motivation for the crime, pointing out that no meaningful ransom communication has been made and over a million dollars has been left untouched.
Brewer suggested that investigators should explore any potential emotional ties to Nancy or the Guthrie family, including friends, associates, business relationships, or debts.
However, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos had previously excluded the Guthrie family's participation in Nancy's disappearance.
