Two new alleged ransom notes have added a new twist to the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping case, suggesting her death and further tormenting her family.

The 84-year-old mother of 'Today' show host Savannah Guthrie went missing from her Tucson home on February 1, and no suspects have been identified yet.

The latest ransom notes, received by TMZ, claimed to know the whereabouts of Nancy Guthrie's body and demanded half a Bitcoin, worth roughly $70,000.

Ex-FBI agent Jennifer Coffindaffer believes the ransom notes are only intended to torment Savannah Guthrie and her family, while a former FBI agent thinks the sender may be a scammer.

Savannah Guthrie has offered a nuanced perspective, acknowledging that while many ransom notes may be fake, she believes at least some may be genuine.
