Nathan Allman, the founder of blockchain-based finance platform Ondo Finance, has passed away, the company announced in a social media post. The cause of death remains undisclosed.
In a statement, Ondo Finance said, 'It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Nathan Allman, Ondo's founder.' The statement went on to praise Allman's 'brilliance, humility, and drive' that shaped the company.
Friends and colleagues paid tribute to Allman's unexpected death, calling him a 'once-in-a-generation founder and visionary.' He was described as 'absolutely brilliant' with a 'vision and drive that shaped the industry and everyone around him.'
Allman graduated from Brown University with a degree in Economics and Biology and worked for several years in finance companies before founding Ondo Finance in 2021. The company specializes in tokenization of real-world assets and works with the US Treasuries to tokenized them into blockchain.
