A Butler County, Pennsylvania, man, Eric Pierwsza, is facing multiple charges after authorities say he used a Kubota excavator to partially demolish his own home during a domestic dispute with his wife.
The incident left a large section of the residence destroyed, prompting concerns about the building's structural stability.
According to the criminal complaint, the incident followed a marital argument, with Pierwsza's wife reporting that her husband showed up at the family's house after drinking all night and started fighting with her.
When his wife told him the marriage was over, Pierwsza allegedly responded with a terrifying warning, saying, 'If it's over, I'll tear the house down.'
Despite the danger posed to his wife and two daughters, who were still inside the house, Pierwsza began demolishing the back of the family's house using the excavator.
He was eventually taken into custody and is being charged with disorderly conduct, reckless endangerment, and provoking a catastrophe.
Pierwsza's preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 9.
