A massive power outage impacted thousands in Portage, Michigan, with Kalamazoo County Dispatch issuing an update on the situation.
The government organization warned that if a traffic light is out, an intersection should be treated as a four-way stop and public services and traffic might be impacted.
According to Consumers Energy, over 7,000 people have been affected, with the area of South Westnedge Avenue and I-94 hit the worst.
Power is expected to be restored by May 23 at 9:30pm, but this is an estimated timeline.
A cause for the outage was not immediately clear, though Consumers Energy noted there was an 'equipment issue' detected.
