Reality TV personality Luke Gulbranson has entered the political arena, announcing his run as a Democrat against Republican Congressman Pete Stauber in Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District.

Gulbranson, a native of the Iron Range, highlighted his working-class background and concerns about the current political climate in a campaign video.

Originally from Eveleth in Minnesota, Gulbranson has strong roots in the Iron Range, where his family still lives. He has worked in acting, modeling, and luxury real estate and splits his time between Eveleth, Los Angeles, and New York.

Gulbranson has spoken about growing up with financial struggles and has emphasized his relatability to the people in northern Minnesota, saying he knows the hardships they are going through.

He pointed to the political environment in Washington, saying he can't stand the "dangerous rhetoric and madness coming out of DC" and that he cares too much to look away.

Gulbranson is entering a crowded Democratic primary, acknowledging he joined late but remains determined to win the primary and go into the general election against Stauber.
