Savannah Guthrie has returned to the TODAY show after her mother, Nancy Guthrie, was reported missing on February 1. The 84-year-old was believed to have been taken from her home the night before. The FBI is now analyzing DNA evidence from Guthrie's house, which has raised questions about Savannah's whereabouts.

The FBI wanted the DNA evidence to go to their lab, but the Pima County Sheriff's Department insisted it go to a private lab in Florida. The private lab has since sent the evidence to the FBI, who are using new technology to conduct advanced analysis.

Savannah was with her siblings Annie and Camron in Tucson, Arizona, as authorities searched for her mother. She opted out of NBC's coverage for the 2026 Milan Olympics and has since returned to the TODAY show.

The TODAY show has posted an update about Savannah's return, as well as a post about Sepideh Moafi's reaction to watching The Pitt Season 2 finale clip. Savannah had disappeared during an episode where actor Anne Hathaway was a guest, but all seems to be well between Savannah and the TODAY show.
