A U.S. Secret Service Special Agent suffered a non-life-threatening injury after accidentally shooting himself at the Philadelphia International Airport on Friday morning.
The incident occurred while the agent was handling a service weapon during a protective assignment for former first lady Jill Biden.
Although Biden was present at the airport, she was not there when the incident took place.
The injured agent was provided with medical assistance at the airport and is being evaluated at an area hospital in stable condition.
The incident will be probed by the United States Secret Service's Office of Professional Responsibility.
