A student from Texas Tech University was among the victims of a mass shooting at a bar in Austin, Texas. Ryder Harrington, a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity, lost his life in the tragic incident. A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to assist his family, which has already raised over $41,000.
Harrington's fraternity announced a candlelight vigil in his memory, scheduled for Monday evening. The fraternity described him as a kind and genuine person who made everyone feel welcome.
The FBI is investigating the shooting, which resulted in the deaths of three people and injuries to 14 others. The suspect, 53-year-old Ndiaga Diagne, was shot by police and is being examined for motive.
