US President Donald Trump has sparked controversy with a post on Truth Social, criticizing birthright citizenship and accusing the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of backing policies that benefit undocumented immigrants over US citizens.

In a transcript of a conservative talk show hosted by Michael Savage, Trump referred to India, China, and other nations as 'hellholes' where people come to Washington in their ninth month of pregnancy and instantly become US citizens.

Savage argued that these issues should not be decided in courts, but by public opinion, and criticized the US Constitution for being 'written in stone.'

He also accused the ACLU of wanting to convert the US into a colony of China and India, and called the organization 'the most dangerous criminal organization in the history of America.'

Trump's comments come as the Supreme Court is set to hear arguments on the validity of the executive order against birthright citizenship in the country.
