US President Donald Trump announced a surprise alliance with Iran, vowing to work closely with the country to prevent uranium enrichment and remove deeply buried nuclear material.

Trump stated that the US would 'dig up and remove' the enriched uranium buried under joint US-Israeli strikes in June last year, and that 'there will be no enrichment of Uranium.'

The agreement comes after a two-week ceasefire between the US and Iran, with Tehran agreeing to negotiate with the US in Islamabad from Friday.

Trump also warned countries against supplying weapons to Iran, threatening 50% tariffs on any goods sold to the US.

Many of the 15 points in the US plan proposed to Iran have been agreed to, with the two countries set to discuss tariff and sanctions relief.
