The remains of Lt. Kendrick Lamont Key Jr., a 27-year-old US air defense artillery officer, have been discovered in the Atlantic Ocean after he fell off a cliff in Morocco during a recreational hike.

Key's body was found approximately one mile from the site of the fall, and he will be repatriated to the US.

He was part of a multinational military exercise, African Lion 26, which involved over 7,000 personnel from more than 30 countries.

A search and rescue operation involving over 600 personnel from the US, Morocco, and other military allies is still ongoing for a second missing soldier.
