Adityanath Unveils Vibrant Celebrations for Uttar Pradesh Day

Lucknow, January 4 - Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has kickstarted preparations for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Day celebrations, scheduled to take place from January 24 to 26. The high-profile event will be held at Rashtriya Prerna Sthal in Lucknow, with the chief minister directing similar celebrations to be organized in Noida, all districts of the state, and key locations abroad with significant Uttar Pradesh diaspora populations. As part of the festivities, Adityanath has ordered the inclusion of cultural programs and theatrical performances paying tribute to national icons such as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The celebrations will also honor outstanding individuals from various fields, including sports, science, and art. To engage local talent, the chief minister has called for the participation of artists, poets, and cultural practitioners from institutions like Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya and the Sangeet Natak Akademi. The event will also showcase the state's unique products, including GI-tagged items and 'One District, One Cuisine' offerings. In addition to Uttar Pradesh Day, Adityanath has directed celebrations for other significant days, including Youth Day, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti, and Republic Day. The program will also feature competitions in music, dance, and theater, with winners competing at state and national levels. The chief minister has also reviewed preparations for the Magh Mela in Prayagraj, scheduled to begin on January 3, and issued guidelines for security, cleanliness, and health services. The Uttar Pradesh Day celebrations aim to promote cultural heritage, local art, and the state's economic achievements.
