AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami has pledged to make Tamil Nadu drug-free within three months if his party comes to power in the upcoming assembly elections.
He accused the DMK of supporting drug sales and claimed that when AIADMK was in power, the movement of drugs was under control.
Palaniswami also took a swipe at DMK President M K Stalin, saying that his father, the late DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi, was a 'Sanghi' too, as seen in a photo of Karunanidhi with the late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
He further criticized the DMK regime for failing to provide safety to women and children, citing the high number of Pocso cases filed during their tenure.
Palaniswami also questioned the DMK's claim of fulfilling 77% of agreements signed during the Global Investors Meet 2024, saying it was a 'lie' and that it would take 3-4 years for projects to become operational.
