BJP leader Aparna Yadav's husband Prateek Yadav passed away in Lucknow, with the cause of death yet to be disclosed. Prateek was the son of Sadhana Gupta, Mulayam Singh Yadav's second wife, and half-brother of Akhilesh Yadav.
Aparna Yadav is a prominent political figure in Uttar Pradesh, serving as the vice-chairperson of the Uttar Pradesh State Women’s Commission. She holds an MA in international relations and politics from the University of Manchester and is a trained classical and semi-classical singer.
Aparna first entered politics in 2014 through the Samajwadi Party, later contesting the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections but losing to BJP leader Rita Bahuguna Joshi. She joined the BJP in 2022 and has since remained active in public life.
