Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu emphasized the need for strong internal security, technology-driven policing, and a conviction-oriented criminal justice system.

He stressed the importance of strengthening cyber capabilities and digital forensics, as technology has become the future of policing.

Khandu also called for the activation of official social media platforms to enhance public awareness and transparency, and suggested the formation of a dedicated social media team under the DGP.

He highlighted the need for vigilance along the Myanmar border, particularly in Tirap, Changlang, and Longding districts, where extortion and drug trafficking linked to cross-border insurgent influence remain concerns.

The CM commended the Arunachal Pradesh Police for neutralising attempts to revive insurgency and called for strengthening the Special Task Force, enhancing training and manpower, and improving coordination with central armed forces.

Khandu also acknowledged the state's tribal diversity and advised officers to understand the unique social pulse of each region.

He emphasized the need to check illegal immigration proactively and described the new criminal laws as a transformative shift in India's criminal justice system.
