Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has warned Congress leader Pawan Khera of 'life imprisonment' over claims that Sarma's wife holds three passports from the UAE, Antigua-Barbuda, and Egypt.
Sarma accused the Congress of using fabricated documents to influence the outcome of the upcoming state elections and said that the punishment for this could be life imprisonment.
He also alleged that the Congress had taken help from a Pakistani social media group to defame him and his family.
The Assam CM's wife has filed an FIR over the allegations and Sarma is confident that the police will register the case and take necessary action.
