Bengaluru Horror: Drunk SUV Driver Arrested for Dragging Bike 500 Metres, Hitting Multiple Vehicles

A shocking incident unfolded on Bengaluru's Ring Road near Kamakshipalya on December 24, just before 7:15 pm. A 38-year-old SUV driver, later identified as Srinivas, was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol when his speeding vehicle rammed into a motorcycle from behind. The impact was severe, leaving the bike stuck under the car. Instead of stopping, Srinivas continued driving for nearly 500 metres, dragging the motorcyclist, Rohit, behind him. Rohit sustained injuries to his chest, hands, and legs. The driver's reckless behavior continued, as he hit multiple other vehicles before being chased and stopped by a group of motorists and locals. They found Srinivas in a heavily intoxicated state and thrashed him until the traffic police arrived and took him into custody. Police have since arrested Srinivas and registered a case against him under relevant sections of law based on a complaint filed by Rohit.
