Exit polls in Bihar have dealt a significant blow to Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj Party, which made its electoral debut in the state. According to predictions, the party is likely to secure fewer than five seats in the 243-member assembly. The Peoples Pulse has forecasted 0-5 seats for Jan Suraaj, while the People's Insight has given it a maximum of 2 seats. Jan Suraaj, which contested all 243 seats, positioned itself as a third alternative in Bihar's state politics, dominated by the two rival camps. However, post-poll surveys have shown a clear majority for the Nitish Kumar-led ruling camp, indicating a tough road ahead for the opposition, led by Tejashwi Yadav. Most pollsters have predicted a landslide victory for the NDA, with the Dainik Bhaskar forecasting 145-160 seats, the Matrize Exit Poll predicting 147-167 seats, and the People's Insight giving 133-148 seats. The opposition, on the other hand, is expected to fall short of the majority mark. The results of the Bihar assembly elections will be crucial in determining the fate of the Nitish Kumar-led government and the opposition's prospects in the state.
