Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) candidate Shuvendu Sarkar was attacked and chased by Trinamool Congress workers in West Bengal during voting. A video shows Sarkar running through a field with a security personnel by his side as alleged TMC workers chase him.

Security personnel intervened to protect Sarkar, but more people from behind reached the scene and overpowered him. The reason behind the attack is unclear.

BJP's candidate from Siliguri assembly constituency Sankar Ghosh said TMC understands it's being voted out of power, leading to their reaction.

Aam Janata Unnayan Party (AUJP) founder Humayun Kabir was also attacked by TMC supporters in Murshidabad, and he accused Additional SP Majeed Khan of being involved.
