The Congress and CPI(M) have announced plans to take legal action against BJP chief Rajeev Chandrasekhar for allegedly concealing a residential property in his election affidavit.

The Congress alleged that Chandrasekhar failed to disclose a 49,000 sq ft bungalow in Bengaluru, despite listing it as his address in his affidavit and paying property tax recently.

Congress candidate KS Sabarinadhan said they would challenge the issue through legal means, while CPI(M) candidate V Sivankutty termed the non-disclosure as a 'serious betrayal of voters.'

However, Chandrasekhar denied the allegations, calling them '100% false' and claiming they were a common tactic used by the Congress during elections.
