BJP leader Sharadwat Mukherjee has dismissed claims by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee that the party will make access to fish and meat difficult if voted to power. Mukherjee, a candidate from Bidhannagar, said that the party's campaign is focused on setting its narrative and countering the opposition's claims.
Mukherjee also addressed concerns about the party's alleged bias against minorities, saying that Sanatanis are the most inclusive people and will never harm anyone. He added that the party's goal is to promote development, infrastructure, and education, and that it is not anti-Muslim.
Mukherjee also criticized Mamata Banerjee's dole politics, saying that her schemes are short-term and do not address the long-term development needs of the state. He also accused her of selling out jobs and using taxpayers' money to buy votes.
Mukherjee concluded by saying that it's time for Mamata Banerjee to retire and that the party will be happy to see her in the opposition.
