Tamil Nadu BJP leader R Sarathkumar has called out the DMK government for its governance model, accusing it of portraying truthful statements as false. He also took a swipe at actor Vijay, who recently entered politics, saying his leadership credentials can only be assessed after he contests elections and presents a clear ideological stance. Speaking to reporters at Thoothukudi's Tuticorin Airport, Sarathkumar emphasized the importance of listening to people's grievances to become a true leader. He expressed concerns over the increase in murders and crimes in Tamil Nadu, attributing it to the limited police force and drug abuse. On the Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Bill, which replaces the MGNREGA law, Sarathkumar pointed out the lack of clarity in its implementation. He criticized the DMK government for not welcoming good schemes and instead putting their own name on them. Regarding actor Vijay's entry into politics, Sarathkumar said, "A political party that has not faced an election cannot be judged fully. Vijay must contest elections, declare his ideology and principles. Right now, only personal attacks are being made." He also mentioned an incident involving TVK executive Ajitha, stating that a true leader should step out and speak to the people, even if it's an internal party issue. On the revision of electoral rolls, Sarathkumar said the process has been done properly and people should understand that it's a routine exercise. He also expressed confidence that the BJP will emerge stronger in the coming elections, citing the failure of the DMK government to fulfill its election promises. When asked about political alliances, Sarathkumar said clarity will emerge in the coming months. He expressed optimism about the BJP's chances, citing the visit of Amit Shah and Modi as significant events.
