The Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) victory in West Bengal can be attributed to its multi-pronged strategy, which included categorizing poll booths, appointing 'high-rise pramukhs,' and outreach to NGOs.

Unlike the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) and other parties, the BJP focused on improving its organisational strength, increasing the number of active ground workers from 100,000 to 300,000, and ensuring that workers believed in the cause.

The party also divided 45,000 booths into categories based on how much work was needed on them, with Platinum booths allotted 50 workers and Bronze booths allotted one worker each.

The BJP's targeted outreach through NGOs and women's groups, as well as its deployment of the women's cell to talk about the Annapurna scheme, helped the party eat into the women's vote that Mamata Banerjee claimed as her constituency.

Union home minister Amit Shah's visit to the state also played a crucial role in unifying the various strands for a perfect ending.
