Two Delhi University colleges, Ramjas and Miranda House, were evacuated on Monday after receiving bomb threat emails. The email claimed 13 poisonous gas-filled bombs would explode at 12.50 pm, but no explosive materials were found.
This is the latest in a series of hoax bomb threats that have plagued the country since last year. A 47-year-old man was arrested in Karnataka for allegedly sending over 1,100 fake threat messages.
Similar threats were also received by several schools in Chandigarh and Punjab, prompting evacuations and search operations. The threats, purportedly sent by the Khalistan National Army, have led to heightened security and disruption of routine functioning at multiple locations.
