The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a satirical outfit launched on social media by political communication strategist Abhijeet Dipke, has outlined its plans to build an independent, youth-driven movement focused on holding the government accountable and amplifying youth voices.

The outfit, which has amassed 22.8 million followers on Instagram, aims to raise concerns constructively without descending into partisan politics and will collect suggestions from its community over the next few days to turn them into focused campaigns.

The CJP has clarified its ideology, stating that it believes in secularism, democracy, and social justice, and will work towards collective structured action to address issues such as education, employment, environmental issues, and institutional transparency.

However, the CJP's growth has also spawned a secondary scam ecosystem, with phishing links posing as CJP membership invitations circulating on WhatsApp, and the outfit's founder, Abhijeet Dipke, has received constant threats both for himself and his family.

The Punjab Police have issued an advisory warning people not to click on the phishing links, and the Ludhiana Police have released a video warning of the potential consequences of falling victim to the scam.
